That will be a Bond Event. But don't expect a high level of interest. Dansgaard–Oeschger events, comparable climate cyclicity during the Holocene is referred to as Bond events. We may well be on our way into the next D/O event.

Get to chat with the neurosurgeon today (maybe the Neurosurgeon's mate ;-)) They have a fitting for a microwave on my head - that will be an interesting experience. I must say that being here in 'God's waiting room' means that nobody is surprised by the condition or wobbly wrinklies with walking frames. There are different ways of doing the chemotherapy these days too - so they can implant impregnated wafers in your head which is a far more local effect rather than the bog standard whole body immersion approach of the past. Really weird mental effects though my typing is shot to hell and when a therapist asked my home address I just had a blank. But I could hold what I thought was a coherent discussion of glioblastoma and research. Plus point is that they are all saying if I want red wine - go for it

When Marta was released from hospital after treatment for her aplastic anemia, the staff joined in a rousing rendition of ... "Hope I never see you again". And so far they haven't. Fingers crossed.

We get older every day. When someone says "Have a good day" my response is "Every day is a good day, some are just better than others".
The realization as that sinks in is actually a pleasure to observe.

The realization as that sinks in is actually a pleasure to observe. When someone asks how I am, I reply 'Never better!' Then I adopt a thoughtful pose and continue ' ... but I think I remember a day in 1987 when I felt better, a Tuesday.'

Have to blame James 1st and Cromwell - they set everything on the wrong path
