I could suggest that it is better to be described as a Mexican than a Cane Toad. However, dignified silence is likely preferable!!
Anyhow, I live in the World's Most Liveable City. It snowed on the mountains near us on Sunday, and is going well above 30 degC tomorrow!

'At a time where voters are increasingly sceptical of the political class, it is astonishing that the City of Melbourne would choose to spend ratepayers’ money in this way.' Unfortunately, the Trump Effect is not yet evident in Australia. 'The professor’s job description requires him to undertake research and responses “that acknowledge the interdependencies of physical, societal and economic factors in framing effective policy action to secure and enhance resilience".' I need help with interpreting that ....... Anyone?

Written by the good professor himself, it is meaningless but has to sound like it is worth A$700K. After all the professor is a refugee from the refugee migrant chaos in Sweden, to the only country with a sensible migrant policy. He will have an imaginary job though as the overall temperatures in Oz are falling. Apart from Ratty's domain around Brisbane the humidity seems to be relatively low over the whole of Australia leading to more extreme temperatures as the enthalpy of the atmosphere is low so it has less energy content and will cool and heat up more rapidly than the humid atmosphere around Brisbane. Strange that the professor would be employed in Victoria though as it has been a relatively cool summer there by all accounts.

Thanks guys. That makes it much clearer in my mind ...... especially the Swedish reference. The anaconda explanation added another dimension: I wonder, did the earth move for them. Confession: It was a test. I worked for a large Australian government controlled corporation ** for many years and I understood the professor's job description precisely. In fact, I seem to recall applying for a vacancy with the same criteria some moons back. I'm almost certain these words were included: “that acknowledge the interdependencies of physical, societal and economic factors in framing effective policy action to secure and enhance resilience"
From memory, I was applying for a call centre job. Pretty sure ....... ** whose Muslim CEO recently resigned.
