1993 was a disaster year. It started raining during harvest and 50%+ of the crop rotted. I burned barely swaths, bought a grain dryer as the wheat was constantly wet. Lost a lot of potatoes, beets, etc.

At that time I blamed it on climate change. Today, I would look further as to the cause.

Yep. Remember it well although I was fortunately out of its reach in Northern Arizona at the time. The next year I moved to Florida for a while and it was all people could talk about on campus. Many papers written in its memory. Another good reason to have emergency supplies and to be able to survive a couple of weeks on your own in bad weather. The high country of western N Carolina apparently really got hammered. I'll have to ask the local Cherokees for their memories of that when we pass through this coming week.

Your graphs require a larger screen. .... and a wider audience.

So ... you northern fellers (latitude and elevation) will make out like bandits if the warmist crowd is correct. If the cool crowd is correct, you're screwed. Do I have that correct? Place your bets gentlemen ... and remember that snake oil has been known to produce hallucinations.

Now here is a forecast ... complete with timelines you can mark on your calendar (in the very last 3-4 minutes of the video). Whether you buy it or not there is an interesting electo-magnetic discussion ... number 1 of 5 parts. I think John Casey's forecast is more reasonable ... but who the hell knows. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kub7PrWNZE

Png, jpg or as the open office spreadsheet? My only concern is we may not be in Kansas any more.

I think John Casey's forecast is more reasonable ... but who the hell knows. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kub7PrWNZE"When we get into 2020 the Winters will be so brutal" Not that far off Historically, when the winters get colder, so do the springs ... and the growing season contracts, particularly above 40-45 N. If this happens, I see no way that ag production does not go down. If this occurs in conjunction with an increase in variance due to an increase in longitudinal flow, then use your imagination. Are we seeing its beginnings now? I'm not particularly worried about how cold the winter is per se. The other parts bode ill in an increasingly populated world. North American grain production is the difference between plenty and starvation. The problems of the Middle East may solve themselves, but it will be accompanied with fireworks. It won't be pretty. Now, on the bright side ..... ? Perhaps CO2 will save us.
