1st snow of fall 2017 hitting the ground. I prefer snow free. What do you pay for it in ND, Sig? Snow is free to fall, expensive to remove.

amp.usatoday.com/story/27657269Cold weather is 20 times as deadly as hot weather, and it's not the extreme low or high temperatures that cause the most deaths, according to a study published Wednesday

‘The most recent study doesn't project what its findings could mean for the future, particularly with climate change warming much of the globe over the next century. Extrapolating the results of this study for this purpose would only provide speculations not based on evidence," Gasparrini said. However, he has received a grant from the United Kingdom to study that and hopes "we will answer this question soon," he said.
So, in simple terms, give me money and i’ll make shit up, any shit you want. Science today in a nutshell, sold to the highest bidder.

Broke a 107 year old record low for Houston this morning with a temp of 36. The old record was 39. Even more impressive when you consider the amount of urban sprawl and development that has added to the Urban Heat Island Effect at our official recording station at Intercontinental airport. It's always a few degrees warmer nowadays then it is just a few miles outside of town. www.click2houston.com/weather/cold-temps-shatter-107-year-old-record-in-houston

Europe is about to go cold. But as usual uk is west of the down flow and also bang in the middle of northbound warm air.
Meridionality is a bit earlier and deeper this year??
But frozen Thames....more likely then last year, but short of an outlier...a way to go I think...
US is about to have a bit of cold isn't it???
