As an afterthought to that Farmer's Almanac forecast - I wonder what all that cold along the Gulf will do to the temperature of the Gulf 'loop current' and the subsequent Gulf Stream? It is possible that we could see the Thermohaline Current misfiring again. {Note the strange Units NOAA has this in - kilojoules per square centimeter - a square centimeter has no volume and therefore cannot have any heat content. I must assume it is a mistype and they meant cubic centimeter)

August Snowfalls Europe, Canada & Western US - Breaking Some Records it Seems
Since I couldn't find any coverage of this in the less-than-all-the-news press, I went to Adapt 2030. He's gloating a bit perhaps, but if all of this is straight up coverage, then that early and long winter is looking more probable. May need more firewood as backup just in case. Just Looked at Old Farmers Almanac 2018-19 Winter Forecast
How wildly different. Someone's gonna smell incredibly bad at the end. Not saying who. But they can't all be right.

It supposedly snowed in Scotland on August 25th with temps down to -2 C. But if so, you'd never know it by scanning the web. Verrrrry quiet. So ... did it snow? Express mail will do.

A crowd of people with axes chopping down their office doors might improve their attitude. What do you think Blu? Any forecast? Debate continues over whether natural gas can be a "bridge" to carbon-free renewable energy, or whether the fossil fuel must be fought to block climate change.
When it's -10 C in their living room, their hearts, minds and votes may follow.

I think that a pickup load would last quite a long time. What varieties did you grow this year?
