Coffee shortage from "climate change" (sic)? Brazil Coffee Glut Causes Price Collapse
All eyes in the coffee market are on Brazil, as record production levels have knocked global prices to near 12-year lows.
Brazil produced an unprecedented 62m bags of coffee last year, according to Conab, the government food supply agency. Conab expects production to fall this year, to 53m, but that is still a record for an “off-year.”www.thegwpf.com/brazil-coffee-glut-causes-price-collapse/ Flashback June 2018 from the ever-reliable alarmists at Time: Your Morning Cup of Coffee Is in Danger. Can the Industry Adapt in Time? ..... he is leaving at the end of June, and in the role of executive chairman for almost 15 months, he has been looking past Starbucks’ day-to-day operations to its long-term challenges and opportunities. Climate change ranks high among them. As temperatures rise and droughts intensify, good coffee will become increasingly difficult to grow and expensive to buy.

That article is written as though we were actually in the midst of a climate crisis, with actual, obvious effects taking place.
I still buy Starbucks K-cups, they have been on sale for 2 months, and they taste as good as ever.

I overlook their politics, some of their coffee is quite good. Avoid the horrible "Pike Place" roast which they are pushing. It is cheaper than a trip to the zoo, and quite entertaining.

I thought we were told that renewables were cheaper than fossil fuels? And, I noticed this .... "The idea behind this project is helping to save gas — some day we will run out of it," Clugston said.
Even back then, Clugston acknowledged that the plant made no financial sense because it produced only one megawatt of electricity on an ideal summer day, and the city was not as flush with cash in 2014 when it opened as in 2009 when it launched the project.
