I have long suspected that any cooling caused by a Grand Solar Minimum would show up first in the commodity prices. In a quest for profits traders pour through data, consult meteorologists etc. and I find that the quest for profits is amazingly non biased and knows no political party. Corn prices are starting to look like a "hockey stick". A very, very real one... www.bloomberg.com/quote/C%201:Com

Am I wrong, or does this article paint a far less dire picture than we've been hearing? Mr. Sig, what's your take? As for me, anything that might cause bourbon prices to skyrocket is of grave concern. I'm asking the sky gods for a pattern change. Seeing what's coming in the PAC NW, I think it might be beginning.

I thought it did, but there was a news item indicating that France was projecting a dismal crop forecast. Just crossed into Med. France and got food price sticker shock compared to Italy. Meat seems to be running at a euro per 100 grams in stores. Saw my first yellow vest ... Hanging on a garage door in a not so poor part of Cagnes sur mar. I noted that the differential in the price of wine was not nearly as great as meat. Good reason? 😀 You might want to consider a switch to Saki Mr Phy.

American Farmers are very good at producing. We have large reserves. I expect corn to get to $5.50 by December. What would cause it to accelerate quickly would be an early Frost. Today, wheat and corn are near parity in price. Wheat will be used in feed rations rather than corn.

Will that cause bread prices to rise in the Middle East?

This is what happens when researchers are gullible and believe the 'peer reviewed journals' without any attempt to replicate the research. In Lincolnshire they would have been better with cold tolerant rice.

Ah, climate breakdown. Cue to panic? I think the time for concern is when say there is a cold burst in mid-September -say an early widespread hard frost in the USA and NW Europe

Late damp winter/springs make grain prices go up fast. In hindsight it will seem incredible that we were being marched through all this global warming nonsense as a potentially more dangerous minimum was actually approaching. A Twilight Zone story.

Going on vacation next week in Dillon, Colorado. As I write this it is snowing there now. On June 23rd... I realize it is Colorado but it may be a harbinger of a late spring/early fall
