well you know I fish .. well it's going to be really cold this yr .. cod showing up already .. and there not the really small ones 4-6 lb so a yr old maybe 2 .. if there coming down this early it's going to be nasty I like these simple, pragmatic indicators. And the Gulf Stream is sliding away to the south? Seems that way....

Interesting in-depth analysis of solar activity v temp. I've come to expect very detailed bibliographies and analysis from Thongchai, and once again, I am impressed. We cannot spare this human. She "thinks". Although I am sure that there are some who are lighting bonfires with her name on them.

From Roy's post: "It all started when our global lower tropospheric (LT) temperature came in at an unexpectedly high +0.61 deg. C above the 1981-2010 average."and "Yesterday, John Christy noticed that the Southern Hemisphere was unusually warm in our lower stratosphere (LS) temperature product, while the Northern Hemisphere was unusually cool."
Yet we are seeing reports of severe cold from Finland, Russia, New Zealand and South America. From looking at nullschool, it is the meridianal jet streams again keeping these land areas cold and some really big warm pools in Indian ocean, Atlantic and Pacific producing the heat the satellites are reporting. We may not have an El Nino but the oceans are belching heat.

"Temperatures now lower than during most of the last 630 million years
This past weekend I attended the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, and took a photo of this chart showing Average Global Temperature over the past 630 million years.
Average Global Temperature – Chart courtesy the Perot Museum of Nature and Science As you can see, average global temperature is now lower – LOWER! – than during most of the last 630 million years.
When someone yells at you that humans are causing a climate emergency, hold onto your wallet.
I used to say it was a ‘hoax,’ but now I think its much more dangerous than that. As far as I’m concerned, the global warming zealots are perpetrating an outright fraud. "www.iceagenow.info/temperatures-now-lower-than-during-most-of-the-last-630-million-years/I agree fraud is what this looks like - or perhaps more correctly 'conspiracy to defraud'. In the US this should reported as under the racketeering laws RICO.
