Missouriboy, ENSO data v solar cycle interesting Where is this from? It's just the ENSO-MEI monthly time series I have accumulated over the last 5+ years, together with the Solar indices data ... normalized using the standard technique (monthly or increment-specific value minus time series mean divided by the time series standard deviation). www.esrl.noaa.gov/psd/enso/mei/

Greta´s acolytes, when confronted with reality, always ask the same question just to digress: "where did you get the data? So,it would be great to have in the image the source of data... and leave to them the task to study it and debate properly or just shut up.

Good to hear from you again.

And if this were an academic enterprise, it would be theoretically required ... although sometimes the recipe is very, very vague. Mannkind have different rules. Only one disagreement ... I doubt they will shut up. Nor will they put up anything that has been rigorously tested. Good to see you back and hope you are in good health.

That fails in the first line: "My proposal resists the flawed reasoning of the radical Left while embracing market-based solutions to reduce carbon emissions."So what it means is it is time for conservatives to out virtue signal the left. Carbon emissions Que?? There are more and more papers coming out of the woodwork that present the argument often based on observational evidence, that CO2 cools the atmosphere (leads to more IR leaving for space) and therefore cannot be a source of 'warming' for the Earth system. Also that the hydrologic cycle is also a cooling mechanism. Therefore, the sign is wrong on all the arguments for global warming.

Thank you, Ratty and missouriboy. I am always here (although my health diminishes as my age grows); it is just that I read and listen a lot, specially to people that know much more than I. I am very active in Twitter and GAB, nevertheless. Times change, climate changes, but as the Good Doctor used to say, the fight is always the same.

Some may remember the 9 11 event when all planes were removed from the sky over a huge portion of the world for a number of days. It was claimed that a weather impact was detected in the clouds cover and a load of similarly impacted events.
Since then we have seen at least a doubling of air travel that is up until about now and now it looks to me like a 85% drop and likely to go on for a further 30 days.
this could settle a big question relating to clouds and trails, did't want to say that word but that is the purported issue. Any thoughts.

Any thoughts. It may settle some. Although at the weekend I was out and took this picture: That is facing South with the Atlantic to the left in Eastern Florida. The airspace over the Atlantic off the coast is part of the West Atlantic Route System (WATRS) with traffic coast crawling down past Miami toward the Caribbean and South America. You can see that it is not exactly quiet although the traffic is reduced. All those contrails are persistent and widening into cirrus. Persistent contrails tell you that the air is humid at that level. 9/11 the East Coast was under a large dome of high pressure (all the pictures of the day show the clear sky) Air was being drawn down from Canada and was cool - a typical pre-fall day. As there was low humidity there were no contrails anyway. Here is a picture of the beach area taken a few months earlier a mile or so further South but looking East South East at a similar time - note there are no contrails but the aircraft will be there just you cannot see them as the air is not so humid. And traffic has not (yet) reduced as much as you would think - this is captured as I type IF things go on for a long time and traffic really dials back some metrics may show it but we may think that we are big but really compared to the atmosphere what we do is somewhat puny

The CON in contrails may be there for a reason.
