The groundhog apparently agrees with Astro.
Our local groundhogs look up to their esteemed cousin and occasionally joust with climate scientists for sport. They are also not beyond padding their forecasts to ensure their meal ticket.
Moral: It is hard to differentiate a climate scientist from a groundhog.

Hope Storm Ciara hasn't washed you cousins away. Good luck and stay safe.
You too Ratty. Seems that someone in your area prayed a little too hard for rain.

To be fair to Ratty, Australia needs a very long spell of rain before its business as usual, those droughts are multiyear in the making.
Conversely here in NZ 6 weeks of dry and we are screaming for mercy. Those Aussies have stolen our rain this summer!
Stationary highs again.

So this winter is done. Apart from January 17 and February 18, winter has been non-existent in Central Europe since 2013.
