So this winter is done. Apart from January 17 and February 18, winter has been non-existent in Central Europe since 2013. Yes it all went to Kazakhstan and the middle East And here in Middle Earth. We are in for another 3 to 6 inches of snow in the next 24 hours, then dropping to -1 F Thursday night. That early spring had better hurry up or it will not be early.

Check your email, Missouri. I never would have thought that spring could arrive that way. The compression algorithm must be impressive. I foresee a market. Explosive decompression of spring could also be impressive.

Bomb cyclone 😊 The most notable thing is its size, the wind strength/precipitation is locally not extraordinary...its over a huge area tho.

A few existences ago, I used to commute across the North Sea from Hull to Rotterdam around 10 hours. There were times when the sea was quite ... exciting. The 'restaurant' on the Dutch boats had really good food. On the interesting weather days they would be forcing extra food on my plate as I was one of only a handful eating

Gotta say, the benefit of having a wet and windy weekend is no-one in the house wants to do anything.....

Well it is now 'fall' in Florida. Leaves dropping everywhere. This is a little early for us so we could be looking at an early spring.

Well its 4:30am, blowing enough to wake me. A forecast squall line seems to be approaching in 30 mins or so, nice that its a Sunday morning, can afford to have a coffee and wait to see what effect it has....

Damned thing developed a break in the line.....The gap passed over my town 🙄 Story of my life when needing rain. ** ** except for the past fortnight when we've had between fifteen and twenty inches. #1 son lives towards the Southern end of the Gold Coast. The nearest BoM station, Coolangatta, has recorded twenty-five inches from 4th -> 14th Feb. Sunshine Coast (North), Maroochydore, recorded twenty inches. BoM is prediction showers, possible storms for the next week.
