Yes, in a city where folks have lost the ability to plan and be resourceful. As clearly shown, knives are as dangerous as guns. Take away the knives and spears will appear along with battle axes. The reason I hope this spreads fast is that titer transmission will also occur. That will result in the coronavirus being a threat of the past. Trying to isolate it will only extend the danger period. Death is a part of life which we all know. Just as climate change is a part of life. Herd immunity is also a part of life. People are beginning to over react which is also part of human nature. You mentioned "tribal" conditions. Have we reverted to that human condition, or have we really ever left that human condition? In the 1800's, explorers referred to indigenous people as savages, as opposed to themselves who were civilised. I dont think it takes much to bring out the 'savage' in some people in our society...but also have a little faith. Wuhan still has food supplied to supermarkets, im sure life is a little less comfortable, but i dont think this is going to go past a tipping point. I spent a week with locals in a village in Gautamala once, mud hut, ate what they ate etc. Thing that really struck me was how the type of people were the same type of people i was familiar with from UK. They had alot less, but mostly the difference was to do with how they thought of themselves. Just cuz you got money doesnt mean your better. I have no doubt id see the same thing if i was to meet peoples from 10,000 years ago. Inherently we havnt changed, mostly our ego's are bigger.

I have no doubt id see the same thing if i was to meet peoples from 10,000 years ago. Inherently we havnt changed, mostly our ego's are bigger. I've found the same types (personalities) of people wherever I've gone. Cultures (habits) change and repetition ingrains it. The tribe remains with us. Just depends on what we think the tribe is. In Central America, the caste system (Spanish Feudal Hacienda System) remains in place, and locals have little greater sense of belonging. In Saudi, they (many) treated their fellow muslim laborers (imported) like crap. Semi-slaves really. No room for economic or social betterment ... and they cannot go home because they may be the sole support for their families. I could almost always get a smile by simply acknowledging their existence with a simple nod. Culture can be cohesive but also exclusive ... or fanatical and overbearing. When "We" becomes "us" and "them", like we seem to be seeing in the US, it's time to start quoting Mr Lincoln, even though some of us Southerns really hate to do that.

Thanks for the kind words folks, I truly appreciate them!
Well we got our first two confirmed cases today & they sound like 2 of the 3 Chinese Nationals that were taken into quarantine yesterday?
If so they've been through one of our airports and then on the tourism routes of N. England
Folk had better calm their fears, it is here, get on with it!
Current 'mortality rates' should be viewed with caution as they represent only those who got the virus really bad and so went to hospital?
The rest , who had it mild, are not in the stats so the rate , I expect, will be much lower than the media is pushing around?

They were in same hotel as suspected case 2 days ago....highly likely new cases will emerge in york in coming days... I think the powers that be don't want to have folk panic in the areas they might have been too? The other thing is some folk will 'bolt' if they think they'll get put in quarantine because of contact.... A student in Sheffield has been beaten up for being 'Chinese'..... told you folk are balmy!!! EDIT: Found this interesting; "While Monolaurin is most widely used as an anti-viral agent, it also has beneficial effects against pathogenic bacteria, yeasts and fungi; other fatty acids such as caprylic and sorbic acids are more effective against yeasts, but ineffective against viruses. In a study performed at the CDC, which focused on Monolaurin tested strains of viruses, Monolaurin was able to solubulize the enveloped membrane of 14 human RNA and DNA viruses (3). These include influenza, RSV, Rubeola, Newcastle’s, Coronavirus, Herpes Simplex types 1 & 2, Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) and cytomegalovirus. (Monolaurin has no effect on naked viruses, such as polio, encephalitis virus, coxsachie, or pox viruses.) Monolaurin works by disintegrating the lipid envelope coat of viruses. Data from these studies suggest that the loss of virus infectivity is associated with the solubilization of Monolaurin into the envelope. The virus absorbs the fatty acid for its own replication, but winds up destroying its own protective coat. " The substance is found in Milk and coconut milk (And probs many other things?) but I suppose Big Pharma won't be telling you all about it as its cheap and plentiful!

Interesting GW 🤔 worth looking at....
Hows married life btw?? Treating you well?
Bavaria has 6th case, from what i understand by others translating bavarian news report (no details in MSM...) we have initial case, 4 collegues and a son. All close contact atm but i fear a local unrelated case will demonstrate the infectious capability and incubation period.
Anyone here understand german??

I dislike conspiracy theories, this chap is dissecting papers on the RNA structure of novel coronavirus. Hes not drawing conclusions and states more research needed...i haven't had the time to analyse each paper with my high school level biology. Only follow the linked thread if you want to end up with more questions then answers.

And in your first hand you were dealt 4 aces..... or fancy what a coincidence.... "We are being told that the coronavirus outbreak which is currently escalating at an exponential rate probably started with a snake. Perhaps that is true, but a lot of researchers are now pointing out some really odd “coincidences” regarding this outbreak. For example, China’s very first biosafety-level-4 lab is located just 20 miles away from where this outbreak supposedly originated. And a news report about this lab from a few years ago specifically stated that it would be “studying the pathogen that causes SARS”. Of course SARS was caused by a coronavirus, and now a “new coronavirus” has been unleashed in the only Chinese city where coronavirus research was being conducted.......
.....the very odd “coincidence” that a U.S. patent for “an attenuated coronavirus” was granted not too long ago. As you can see right here, the patent was filed in July 2015 and it was granted in November 2018.
So it has just been a little over a year since the patent was granted.
According to a summary of this patent, this attenuated coronavirus “may be used as a vaccine for treating and/or preventing a disease”…......
.......This patent was filed by the Pilbright Institute, and as Stefan Stanford has pointed out, some of the major backers of the Pilbright Institute include the World Health Organization, the European Commission, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation."www.dcclothesline.com/2020/01/24/coincidence-a-u-s-patent-for-an-attenuated-coronavirus-was-filed-in-2015-and-granted-in-2018/"Bill Gates predicted a coronavirus-like outbreak - down to it starting at a Chinese market - in 2019 Netflix documentary show 'The Next Pandemic'
Bill Gates appeared in Netflix 'Explained' series to discuss risks of viral spread The billionaire said world is ill-prepared to deal with global pandemic Microsoft tycoon predicted virus outbreak would begin in wet market in China"www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7951293/Bill-Gates-Predicted-Coronavirus-Like-Outbreak-2019-Netflix-Documentary.html
