Even a broken clock has the correct time twice a day Acid! Half the storms they name never would have been noticed before the politicization of weather anyway.

Weatherbell, Bastardi's group, is forecasting 14-20 named storms, 7-11 hurricanes, 3-6 major hurricanes and total ACE 145-195 (Accumulated Cyclone Energy). Basis is a warm Atlantic main development region; warm Gulf of Mexico, no El Nino and Euro is showing a favorable MJO pattern.

A ‘Hyperactive’ Hurricane Season Is About to Strike www.wired.com/story/a-hyperactive-hurricane-season-is-about-to-strike/"Climate scientists are predicting that as many as 20 named hurricanes will develop in the Atlantic basin during the six-month season that officially begins on Monday." Anyone have any predictions on how many hurricanes we will have this year? As many as they can get away with.

Climate scientists said it so it must be right However, we are due an active year. Got gas supplies in, generator checked. The beginning of the season is marked by click-bait forecasts - the more serious forecasts will come in a few weeks.

Not 2020 specific, but you can at least see where storms wont be! Your prediction of NO landfall was clearly correct...for SOUTH America!

Anyone have any predictions on how many hurricanes we will have this year? I predict that climate scientists will be able to name twenty hurricanes. It's easy with satellites and a little adjustment - a fish storm way out in mid-Atlantic for 30 minutes becomes a hurricane and the counter goes. This is then compared with a busy period in the 50's when transient fish storms were of no interest and all the talking heads are claiming record years

Did Bertha make it to hurricane status? I see it referred to as "post tropical cyclone Bertha" elsewhere.
