Hi Sixpac, N Europe too, sweltering 30°c+ here in UK, breaking down trow however. Meanwhile Balkans/East Europe are at best cloudy, at worst....flooding, badly. Meridional conditions are pushing air north and south, we have been getting hot and cold periods depending on where the pressure systems are sitting....

While we here in Middle Earth are having a remarkably balmy (by our standards) summer ,,, mostly circa 30C highs and with just a bit higher than normal rainfall. Only really toasted in high humidity on about 5 days so far. Misery is off her game. I am sure that Mother Nature is just lulling us into position for something nasty. Where is "the middle" in Europe?

Where is "the middle" in Europe? Update. Pleasant normal temps about 28C today. We ended June at 200% of normal precip. Everything VERY lush. Lots of hay. 100 lb squirrels swinging through the treetops eyeing a record nut harvest. Top wire of orchard fence down and deer helping themselves to apples. I will fix that and return the favor come fall.

Warmer temperatures have finally arrived. 2" rain was just right. ... and the spuds? Still behind. Normally, on July 4th row closure is immanent. This year? That rabbit running down the row can still be observed.

A brief look at Jetstream over this past month. Im really very unfamiliar with this meteorological processes in these parts of the world, however there have been alot of people bleating on about hot Siberia in the past month too, so one can assume where hot air is travelling north, colder air is travelling south too which indicates a wavy jet. Certainly earlier in June waves were Meridional tho less so more recently. I have posed the question to my army of 75 followers, some of them are very knowledgeable however.....maybe i should have done some tags..
