That is not so rare now - they had snow in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 now 2021 Looks like the Ferrel cells have shifted equatorwards as the Hadley cells are less vigorous

Here in Middle Earth we continue with above average temps ... anchored consistently in the 40s. We fear not until an aggressive northern jet shall loop deeply south, at or to the west of the 100th meridian. If its edges tap a moisture plume out of the Gulf, we get buried. This year the Arctic hath come to Eurasia and into Africa. Does the great wheel move west and pummel us next winter? As per Astro's forecast. There seems to be a companion years scenario for many European - N American winter pairs.
