WASHINGTON -- The debate on global warming is set to heat up again with the Obama administration's release on Friday of an EPA proposed finding that carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases are a danger to public health and welfare. That's one promise he's keeping!

I am a Canadian, so I am not familiar with US law. Am I right in assuming that before EPA can take any action, there must be some form of legal case before a judge, where the rules of evidence are in force? If so, then the climate skeptics must be drooling at the opportunity to cross-examine any warmaholic who gives evidence.

The next step is to receive public comments - written and spoken. There will be two hearings next month. Those who wish to attend or to speak at the hearings must register. epa.gov/climatechange/endangerment.htmlIf this works like it did with the FCC and Broadband over Power Lines (BPL) it'll be a farce (court found that the FCC violated it's own procedures!)

Thanks for the link, s4caster. I should have included it in my original post.

So does that mean Americans will need to go to Mexico or Canada in order to freely take a breather!
