This is in aid of the thread I started in the climate section "A physical connection solar activity -> climate". I need as much archival solar wind data as possible. Preferably 50 years of monthly average solar wind, but will convert daily if necessary. The ultimate test of my idea will be to plot solar wind versus average global temps. I know that Kevin has a link to current solar wind, so I'm hoping that he or someone else will have a link to an archive. I've tried Google searches, but haven't clicked.

I looked and found multiple sources for data back to 1995 but no further. (such as web.mit.edu/space/www/wind.html ) Might I suggest emailing some of the people who maintain data such as what I posted above and see if they know where you can get your hands on older data. They have contact info at the bottom of the page. I have seen articles written about the Solar Wind during different time frams like 1968-1973 so the data exists somewhere. Oh... and if you DO find the source would you mind posting the link here? Thanks and good luck.
