www.kxmb.com/getArticle.asp?ArticleId=386829Meanwhile, snow falls across areas of southwestern North Dakota, and did we mention it's June. It's the first time since 1951that thingyinson residents have seen snow in June and it is the latest snowfall on record for the city. Here's the white stuff in Richardton this afternoon. According to the National Weather Service... there were unofficial reports of a couple of inches of snow in several southwestern towns... Meteorologists say snow in North Dakota in June is uncommon, though it's not unheard of. Other parts of the state have seen June snow within the past 10 years.

rustyphillips: "Yesterday, we were shivering in summer's first dusting of snow. Yes, snow."
That can't be right. It's snowing in New Zealand and Australia. Please check with the BBC, for a proper report on your local weather.

It has been cold in ND since November of 08. Someday we will return to seasonal norms, just not sure if that can happen this year.

6 inches of snow in the mountains of New Mexico a couple of days ago. And since alarmists have been warning that even mountaintop snow should be on the decline...we get to count that too

Here in Denver, the temperature has failed to hit 80F for the past two weeks. For this time of year, that is highly unusual. And it should be at least a few days more before it happens.

Here in Denver, the temperature has failed to hit 80F for the past two weeks. For this time of year, that is highly unusual. And it should be at least a few days more before it happens. It has been the same in Reno. After a 2 week warm spell, it has been cool for the last 2 weeks, with another week to come.

June's chill in Chicago 'coldest since records began'... So far, June's chill is one for the records.
By Steve Kahnon June 12, 2009 "The cloudy, chilly and rainy open to June here has been the talk of the town. So far this June is running more than 12 degrees cooler than last year, and the clouds, rain and chilly lake winds have been persistent. The average temperature at O'Hare International Airport through Friday has been only 59.5 degrees: nearly 7 degrees below normal and the coldest since records there began 50 years ago.
More bad weather is on the way Saturday with a cold rain expected to linger through the bulk of the morning. Rainfall could be heavy -- especially north of the city, which would be a reversal of Thursday's deluge that targeted the southern suburbs."
