This pretty much proves that the previous work, funded with billions of tax payer dollars, was worthless. But with what passes for 'logic' in Washington, the answer is to...spend even more money.

Obama has the political savvy of a turnip. Follow the strings. Follow the strings.... and meet your namesake Since moving from RI to Austin 4 years ago I miss snow about as much as I thought I would (terribly, painfully) and my wood stove no less than that.

Actually, such an agency could be valuable, if staffed by genuine seekers of the Truth, and no those following a political agenda. The Climate has, does & will change (World without end) so any ability to foresee these changes will be valuable. However, I am sure it will just be another way of employing the unemployable PhD's,( the children of the left), and require another large Jet to fly this mob to every future IPCC discussion It is a good thing you qualified your 'if'. AGW is fundamentally a corruption of both politics and science. This new devolutoin of NOAA will only memorialize that process.

Like the majority of Americans, I don't trust this Administration. And I would not trust any administration to do an unbiased "climate study." Too many big money interests want to run the price of energy up so any new "government study" is likely to result in the same conclusion as the last.
"It's much warmer now, so just turn your heat off and you will be comfortable. And then you will have money for food."

"NOAA, part of the Department of Commerce, is going to be providing information to individuals and decision-makers through a new NOAA Climate Service office." Let's now put the foxes in charge of all the chicken coops. Decision-makers is a nice touch (to quote Hannibal). As Chuck Swindoll famously said: "Even now, people are meeting to decide your future, and you are not invited."
