I have my fingers crossed but .... Our government is teetering on the edge with a one seat majority. Our former prime minister, Turnbull ** has just resigned, forcing a by-election. His seat in nominally 'safe' conservative but there is a lot of anger at his dumping. He could have hung about till the general election next year but - IMNSHO - he intends to inflict as much pain on the party as possible. ** recent picture:

"Green, cult-like dream now colliding with harsh reality For years the German government, activists and alarmist scientists promised that green energies — foremost wind and sun — would be plentiful, cheap and clean. “Hooray!” the entire exclaimed in jubilation. But today in its commentary the RP concedes that “the reality looks totally different” and that it is requiring “an enormous effort” just to keep the power grids stable as waves of unpredictable green power repeatedly surge into the power grid. According to the RP, emergency power grid interventions by grid operators cost electricity consumers last year 1,4 billion euros. German households consequently pay 47% more for their power than the average EU."notrickszone.com/2018/09/09/german-green-energy-debacle-self-deception-dependence-on-coal-cemented-for-years-to-come/

Bloomberg showing it has zero grasp of what is going on. " But it makes an important point: The Chinese government is happy when its citizens buy locally made instead of American products.
Of the many misperceptions driving Donald Trump’s trade policy, this may be the most dangerous: China isn’t desperate to maintain its interdependent relationship with the U.S. Rather, it’s a national objective to become more economically independent."It seems to have escaped the reporter's notice that this is not a problem to President Trump; the US government is happy when its citizens buy locally made instead of Chinese products. The problem that both countries have is their consumers buying foreign goods to the extent that the balance of trade is heavily skewed which leads to the balance of payments and debt problems. If China stopped all supplies to the US and instead they were made in the US president Trump would be extremely happy. It would appear Bloomberg has a bad case of TDS.

If the blocking forecasts that Acid posted (with their associated weather) come true, Germany may get a "precast" of what might happen if they shut down their remaining coal-fired electricity. Just in time perhaps?

"GREEN SUICIDE: GERMANY’S ECONOMIC BACKBONE SUFFERS FROM SOARING POWER PRICES Date: 24/09/18 Bloomberg Mittelstand companies weighed down by soaring electricity costs are struggling against competition from U.S. and China. If power prices continue to rise, many companies could be forced to close down." www.thegwpf.com/green-suicide-germanys-economic-backbone-suffers-from-soaring-power-prices/This is the reason for China's 'support' {cough} for the Paris Accord which allowed China to continue unbridled expansion using any source of power available while western countries led by virtue signalling politicians cripple their industry by moving to diffuse and unreliable power generation that cannot provide the reliable base load power that is required. It was no accident that Maurice Strong retired to China.

Of course! But there must be some gigantic man made machine with some really cool technology that costs a bazillion dollars that someone will make a bazillion dollars selling that will null that small technical problem.

The problem with modeling is you get whatever the model is told to wear. (and they are just SO sensitive)

"India Rumbles Wind Power as Fake Electricity: Output Collapses During Dead-Calm Monsoon
It never takes them long to work out that wind power is the greatest economic and environmental fraud of all time. Eco-zealots have attempted to ram wind and solar power down the throats of Third World governments under the auspices of saving the planet and purportedly with the purpose of dragging millions out of poverty. As the initiated well-know, wind power rates zero on both scores. Pointless and expensive, wind power is a kind of first world disease being spread by UN endorsed lunatics, across the developing world. In India, solar power is seen as ‘fake electricity’, by those being forced to use it: The Cruel Hypocrisy: West Drops Wind Power as it Forces ‘Fake Electricity’ on the World’s Poor" stopthesethings.com/2018/10/24/india-rumbles-wind-power-as-fake-electricity-output-collapses-during-dead-calm-monsoon/

In another place, I need some sensible rebuttal for the figures quoted on this site: UK Renewable EnergyAnyone? Something on British power prices? Unreliability of supply? Anything? URGENT.
