Seems that the Dutch can react in one of two ways. 1. Line up and march into the ocean like good little soldiers. 2. Line their current crop of politicians up and march them into the ocean. Wagers on their choice?

Wagers on their choice? One by one countries will realize that they have been duped by the politicians and the ethically challenged greens. The next decade could be a very dangerous time to have been a politician. If the timing of this goes the way it appears to be going, we will see a lot of countries completely wrong footed with insufficient power generation for existing needs and yet increasing demand with electric cars and trains. Brownouts and power cuts in the cold Imagine a week long midwinter power out in London

I follow dutch politics... This article is wrong. It says 6 billion over a decade. They forgot a zero. The official number is 60 billion. It only got calculated after a political push. One of the newest up and coming opposition party is totally against this and claimed it would cost 1 trillion. You read that right. 1 trillion by 2050 is the claim. In response the government calculated some of the costs of the proposed legislation but only calculated cost to the government. They will make it illegal to not have a certain standard of insulation, to not have a heat pump, to have a combustion car (probably) All these costs are not included in the estimate. Suffice to say that the 60 billion per decade number does not cut it. It will likely be 100 - 400 billion per decade for the next three decades. If one scales it up to the size of the US these costs would rival the defense budget. All of it.

"Tesla "Spontaneously Catches Fire", Is Incinerated After Burning For Hours
Just hours after we reported three new executive departures - and just days ahead of Tesla's Autonomous Driving event - the good, old fashioned oil-backed naked-short selling conspiracy FUD just keeps on rolling in. A Tesla vehicle near Pittsburgh caught fire and burned for hours on Wednesday night at an area service garage. The fire occurred despite Tesla engineers reportedly having access to the vehicle prior to moving it. The photos are stunning, showing what appears to be a vehicle that has been close to completely incinerated and reduced to a heap of smoldering wreckage.
The same car had previously caught fire back in February in a garage around the same area, according to CBS 2 Pittsburgh. It was being towed to a new shop on Wednesday and "somehow" caught fire again, despite the fact that a Tesla engineer tried to reduce the risk of fire by removing the fuse from the battery pack prior to transporting the vehicle. "www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-04-18/tesla-spontaneously-catches-fire-incinerated-after-burning-hoursThat's the problem with these batteries. They can get internal short circuits and spontaneously combust and they have all the required energy internally they do not need oxygen to burn. Only thing that can be done is flood them with water to reduce the temperature.
