"European taxpayers lose €5bn in carbon trading fraud
• Europol says EU's Emission Trading System in peril • Fraudsters could target gas and electricity markets next
The European Union has probably lost at least €5bn (£4.5bn) to VAT fraud related to carbon trading and there is a risk that the criminals will now shift their attention to Europe's electricity and gas markets, according to Europol."www.guardian.co.uk/business/2009/dec/14/eu-carbon-trading-fraudStrange - aren't we also seeing pressure to bring VAT to the U.S.A. ? Purely coincidental of course....

Unfortunately, among her other claims to fame are the initiation of the establishment of the UK’s Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research and the IPCC.

My understanding is that Thatcher was one of the first proponents of AGW in order to push nuclear.

I dunno, Thatcher's husband was a top oil exec. I assume that's why she put the coal mines out of business and in any case the UK never embraced nuclear the way the French did.

No they didn't embrace it. The movement was taken over by the Greens. Sorry I didn't save the documentation on Thatcher. I will try to see if I have some hanging around. Edit: I did find this paper attached to an email. I'd be happy to email a copy to anyone who wants. PM me an email address. I'll double check with John to make sure it is ok. CLIMATE SCIENCE CORRUPTED
How the IPCC's sponsor, the UNEP, and key IPCC individuals have misled Governments into supporting the notion of manmade warmingby John McLean

Another interesting paper ... "Coming Cooling – Forecasts of American “Nostradamuses”" www.peacekeeper.ru/en/index.php?mid=7689As with other papers it talks of the collapse of the North Atlantic Drift (Gulf Stream) due to freshwater runoff from Greenland. However, there could be another cause The warm end of the Gulf Stream could get too cold to drive the flow of the thermohaline circulation. As it has this year due to the huge southerly displacement of the polar vortex and the jet-stream.
