Ocean Acidification is a fact since industrialization (Coal Burning)
But it is not involving CO2
Lets compare 3 combustion gases: NO2 - SO2 - CO2
NO2 reacts instantly with water to form nitric acid
8no2 + 3h2o= n2o + 6hno3
SO2 has a solubility of 9.4 (g/100g H2O) at 20 Celsius
But does have a solubility of 23 (g/100g H2O) at 0 Celsius
SMOG does last longer when its hot!

SO2 disolve in water to form Sulphuric acid
SO2 in the presence of NO2 reacts with Oxygen and create Heat (Global Warming) to form SO3
SO3 reacts with water to create Sulphuric acid and a lot of Heat (Global Warming)
SO2 and NO2 are not only extremely acid when mixed with water but also generate a lot of heat.
Now CO2
CO2 is 200 time less soluble in water than SO2
CO2 solubility depends on its concentration, CO2 do not have enough high concentration at Sea level to be "Catch" by sea water.
