We are getting cool fronts moving in from the northwest. It is unusual for them to be coming in this early. (late August). The temps in SE Texas are still hot, but the patterns seem more of a late September than late August.

Norway 29th of august. Up to 40 cm fresh snow in the mountins. Snow down to 1100 m level. Little early. In my location ( Slovenia ) we got snow down to 1600 m level. But we are few 000 km souther he he. For those who are not familiar with geography : Slovenia is E of Italy, W of Hungary, N of Croatia and S of Austria. And we have about 45 km of Adriatic sea coast. Tonight temps : 4.4 C ( 300 m level). I realy need to pick up all my crop from the garden ASAP.

Here in Norway we already got snow in second part of august. Not only did we get snow, but we also got at sea level. You can see how sudden summer ended in northern norway with temps way below normal for second half of august: www.wunderground.com/history/airport/ENVD/2010/8/2/MonthlyHistory.htmlEven here in middle of trondheim we had 3c in august and forecast for tonight claims we will get 2c.

HIgh forcast for tomorrow is 69F.....low tomorrow night is 39......F.
That is downright cold for this time of year. Late September temps.....not early Sept. It also seems our monsoon season has gotten of to a very strong start. This period is normally dry, but have had 3.2 inches of rain in the past 4 days with locally heavier amounts. Not a goooooood thing at all for ag in my area. Southern Canada also seems to be continueing with its pattern of rain fall. Not good weather for wheat harvest.

OH yes.....as a hint. IF you have not bought your winter supply of flour yet....might just be a good idea to do so. My lovely wife bought 100# the other day as we know that the millers will take advantage of the percieved shortage of milling quality wheat to raise the price.

It is suppose to get down to 47 tonight in middle Tennessee. I actually had to break out my jacket for this morning. This is odd to me being so cool this time of year and there is still 18 days of summers left.

High of 106 today, high of 76 on Wednesday. I've always said the first real cold comes on Halloween. We'll see what happens this year.
