For those of us who live in the real world and are affected by climate change etc, we have known they are wrong for quite some time.
Some folks sell the alarmism by pointing to weather events. The problem is, us older elders have observed these types of weather events all of our lives.
To look at climate as a 30 year idea is just so very very foolish. One must look at century scale.
Past climate has showed us that there are deffintely "STEP" changes to climate. The reasons? I don't know, maybe someone does, but as far as I know they have not published their knowledge.
To state that the past 30-40 years is "unprecendented" is just so falsifiable. The rate of warming is the same for the past 40 years as it was in the early 20th Century. We have been warming since the LIA......and yes, the LIA WAS a global event.
The resolution of proxy data is just not good enough to claim that we are warmer than some other period with any degree of certainty.
There are TWO exceptions to this......and that is Sargasso Sea proxy data. It is an excellent site where at least decade temps can be found, and at times within the decades annual resolution can be found.
Recent research of the ice core data of Greenland has also produced decadal scale resolution. The research shows the temperature of the ice cap to have been warmer than present approx 1,000 YBP.
What this tells us is that the earth HAS experienced similiar temperatures in the recent past and somehow, survived.
It is time to change the idea that carbon is a bad thing. It is time to educate people that we do NOT want to waste this precious life enhancing resource. It is time to build Nuclear Power plants, as solar power on a large scale has not been shown to be economical. Human suffering from a poor economy is very evident...just in the present USA. To imagine the human suffering of countries where there is even less money than the USA......because of lack of energy.....that $1.00 per day looks like a very good investment.
