Fancy that eh?
Well IJIS saw extent rise to 4th lowest on record today. To me it shows us much of what we can see on the visible sat images. Last years highly fragmented, highly dispersed pack is now shaking itself free of this years poorly formed FY ice. The areas that saw excess snow over early refreeze are now approaching melt temps so we might expect some rapid melt pond formation. In its turn this albedo flip will enable rapid melt out of the floes. The next 3 weeks might prove key in this years melt season?

The next three weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, millennia .... whatever. Do you think it's all to do with fossil fuels or are you just regurgitating the CAGW mantra? If it''s the former, please expand on your thinking. You are obviously a smart guy GW. How does one such as yourself become so indoctrinated?

Both Antarctic and arctic are making gains compared to other years at this point.
More likely a response to cooler post nino conditions imo.

Temperature not rising fast enough? Someone over on the ASIF contacted DMI and they told us they had a power problem which is now sorted so the data will begin flowing again!

I can see no good reason to continue in the Paris Climate Agreement. It was not ratified in the USA, the President did NOT have the authority to pretend it was. AS far as bargaining, bargain from a position of strength. IF other countries want the USA in it so bad, the can concede most of the bullcrap, and fund it themselves. The USA does NOT have extra cash.
