I feel your pain, Blue. The Australian Senate is a mess of directly-elected senators who are more beholden to their parties than to their states. There are also single-issue senators. It was aptly described by a former prime minister as " unrepresentative swill" after they refused to pass a bill he wanted rushed thru. They’re elected by the cities...

[ Snip ] They’re elected by the cities... If you mean that the rural areas don't get a look in, same here to a large extent.

As a latecomer to the country I am amazed how little of its history and Constitution are even known, let alone understood by the general populace. There has been a deliberate effort to reduce the level of education of children in the workings of the country. This makes the population more malleable as they move from fad to fad. It is the reason now for the proposals to lower voting age and to allow non-citizens the vote. There should be a multiple choice civics test before anyone is allowed to vote. Question for the multitude. What is the connection between stories like this ffrf.org/legal/item/19614-oklahoma-city-removes-30-foot-cross and Lord George Gordon?

[ Snip ] They’re elected by the cities... If you mean that the rural areas don't get a look in, same here to a large extent. The Constitutional design was for the State Legislators to elect the 2 senators from each state. That plan linked each elected Senator to the full electorate of their state. Now the Senate is elected by the urban hive. In NY they barely even campaign and are virtually elected for life. I have no use for any of them.

Want something to worry about? You know that 'free trade' 'globalist approach' ....... " F-35 jets: Chinese-owned company making parts for top-secret UK-US fighters An expert said it's possible to embed technology such as a chip without a customer's knowledge that could change how it functions. A Chinese-owned company is making circuit boards for the top-secret next generation F-35 warplanes flown by Britain and the United States, Sky News can reveal."news.sky.com/story/f-35-jets-chinese-owned-company-making-parts-for-top-secret-uk-us-fighters-11741889But wait there's more...... "US Government Warns of Drones That Send Data to China Drone aircraft used to be prohibitively expensive, but now you can buy a camera-equipped drone that talks to your smartphone for under $100. The US Department of Homeland Security has issued an alert that drones manufactured by Chinese firms might have become a little too accessible. The DHS says much of the data collected by these drones ends up on servers in mainland China where the Chinese government can access it.
The agency doesn’t mention any Chinese drone makers by name, but the target is crystal clear. Shenzhen-based DJI makes approximately 80 percent of the drones currently operating in the US and Canada. These range from consumer units that cost a few hundred dollars (the popular Spark and Mavic linesSEEAMAZON_ET_135 See Amazon ET commerce) up to advanced enterprise-oriented models that can cost several thousand dollars. Some police forces have even been using DJI hardware like the Matrice.
In 2017, the US Army ended its use of DJI drone aircraft. At the time, the Army alleged that the company shared infrastructure information with the Chinese government. The DHS advisory is the clearest sign yet that the government is taking aim at DJI because of its near-monopoly in ready-to-fly drones. It notes that the Chinese government requires its citizens to support national security activities, and that could include providing flight data from drones used in the US. "www.extremetech.com/extreme/291684-us-government-warns-of-drones-that-send-data-to-chinaA discussion program talking head stated that these Chinese made 'drones' are sending all information passing through them to China, where the information becomes a huge cache of surveillance data from video recordings to radio and communication (WiFi ssids) Clever.

Didn't Mr. Biden have multiple brain aneurysms at some time in his life? Could there be lingering effects? I certainly don't get mentally sharper as I age. But then, it could be the combination of daily doses of martini and pinot noir.

But then, it could be the combination of daily doses of martini and pinot noir. Look into what green tea has shown to do in lab tests. Apparently it builds brain cells. I have been drinking quite alot and have been playing better chess. I need all the help I can get. Placebo effect? Rats ran their mazes successfully with it, and slices of their brains showed brain cell/ neuron growth. Needs to be good quality green tea, most is not. I like the Lipton Matcha stuff. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22692966"sonic hedgehog pathway activation"??
