Here’s my first offering; James Carrington’s Environmental Blog in today’s Guardian. www.guardian.co.uk/environment/damian-carrington-blog/2013/jan/08/australia-bush-fires-heatwave-temperature-scaleJames chooses to ignore the cold events occurring right now in the Northern Hemisphere and instead turns to a devastating Southern Hemisphere summer event. My favourite quotes from the blog: "Global warming is turning the volume of extreme weather up, Spinal-Tap-style, to 11" ""Whilst you would not put any one event down to climate change, weather doesn't work like that" "but it is equally clear that new colours will need to be added to scales across the world for heatwaves and other extreme weather events."

It seems Damian hasn't got Hansen's memo. Global warming is going to be cold and the cold will accelerate the ice melt leading to more cold. Or to put it another way even if it gets colder it is global warming.
And of course the sea level is going to rise by 200 meters. And everyone will die.
This ruse allows the continuation of CAGW funding even if the world goes colder.

And of course, those forecast temps were 160 hours out...and now 45-48 is the forecast.
Nothing more than alarmist extremism.

Very...but that's what happens when you bring in a carbon tax, you have to link all heat to AGW.
Nevermind all the heat records individually bar one, the 2009 Victorian ones, are all 40 and 50 years old.
The day The Age newspaper stops printing wont be a day soon enough here in OZ.
