Why is ivory considered valuable anymore?
This is just stupid. At least they could have taken the meat as well.

We are doing ok. The rest of the country could do ok if it really wanted to, but the liberals are so intent on stifling growth that it is an uphill climb.

We are doing ok. The rest of the country could do ok if it really wanted to, but the liberals are so intent on stifling growth that it is an uphill climb. LIBERALS in Spain were really born and labeled as such during NapoleonĀ“s ocupation of Spain; they were patriots -with most illustrated leaders- fighting against French troops and finally as an oposition to absolutist monarquist. In seized city of Cadiz first "representative" courts were established and they draw our first democratic constitution in 1812. So LIBERAL here stands for liberty against absolutism, equilibrium between rights and duties and the establishment of CITIZENSHIP and people being citizens rather than subjects or vassel of an absolutist Crown. Ferdinand VII recovered his crown thanks to spanish people fighting and defeating Napoleon, yet he betrayed democratic 1812 Constitution and spanish people by re-establishing an absolutist monarquy. This historic fact explains SpainĀ“s troublesome history and drama up til now... This is just to illustrate how different implications and meaning words and labels might have depending on time of history and country...
