OK, I thought you were on to something Ratty till I realized that this course isn't intended to address the denial displayed by the promoters of the course.
Oh well, the denial crowd is getting smaller all the time.

Somewhat easy to deny Climate 'science' - hiding data, hiding methods, models mean more than observed data etc etc. It would appear climate 'science' is the antithesis of Science. I think I might not be allowed to attend after one session - but then that is another trait of climate 'science'.

Their side is going to increasingly be seen as the 'deniers' as time passes. They are so emotionally invested in this, it will be interesting to watch. It is so fundamental to their way of thinking, that western industries must be wrecking the environment, and owe the third world money for it, well, just because.

One thing that concerns me is the re-definition of terms. "Climate Change Denier" is defined to mean "AGW denier" (stone the blasphemers) rather than someone who does not accept changes in the climate, or who accepts changes in the climate for reasons other than so-called AGW.
Hijacking and redefinition to suit political and campaigning purposes can be found elswhere. For example the often hurled epithet "racist" seldom describes a real racist per dictionary definition. Although that is well off topic on this board, it is another striking example of redefinition to suit a purpose.

To deny, one must 1st establish something to deny. So far, that hasnt been accomplished.
