They are quoting burnt area to date this year as 5,496,000 acres This compares with average of 5,769,000 acres for 2010-2019 All the news broadcasts keep saying wildfires are unprecedented Is this true?

This doesn't look like climate change..... Most likely explanation is its a helicopter, and its used by authorities to control burn ahead of fires. Drones are used but shoot flames more horizontally.
