and I really don't think it's finished yet .. I'm feeling an 8 or 9 brewing .. I think that Bary has a lot to do with it - hence this thread. I read a book 'The Jupiter Effect' many years ago that put forward precisely this point. "The Jupiter Effect is a 1974 book by John Gribbin and Stephen Plagemann, in which the authors predicted that an alignment of the planets of the Solar System would create a number of catastrophes, including a great earthquake on the San Andreas Fault, on March 10, 1982. The book became a best-seller.[1] The predicted catastrophes did not occur. "en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jupiter_EffectI don't think anyone really understood Chaos Theory and how that applied to seismic events. So it was treated it like a guaranteed forecast. However, we live on the thin skin of a bubble of rock that is an oblate spheroid due to its rotation and the flexing of that thin skin. It would seem that at the right point in the Earth's uneven orbit following the Sun a shift in the barycenter could supply sufficient stress for the thin skin to either rupture (volcanoes) or for already stressed tectonic plates to slip before sticking again. So Flea could be right Perhaps Naples (the real one Napoli) needs to be concerned too.

Gosh, I don't have any emergency water or food. I am employing the "reverse umbrella theory". Bring an umbrella and it won't rain. I have emergency water and food ... but no emergency. I'm looking for a grant.

Gosh, I don't have any emergency water or food. I don't either. It will be cheaper to brush up on my looting skills.

I think 'bug out' kits, water, food with a long storage life, etc., are littorally things for the coastal populations. Hurricanes South and East Earthquakes volcanoes, West coast. Flyover states get tornadoes but they are random small narrow track and not much you can prepare for - just dig a storm cellar.
