Freedom isn't free and the defense of free speech is the first payment to be made. This is why it is the first thing to be attacked by enemies of freedom from politicians who define disallowed speech; academics who restrict free speech; Democrats who shout down opponents; to mutaween who will apply sharia death sentences for free speech. If the thin politician and academia end of the wedge is not stopped - sharia is not far behind.

The texts suggest there were multicultural happy thoughts dancing around the streets of Constantinople 564 years ago. They didn't work out very well.

Preparations are already underway in my garage ..... That you Ratty? Any local squirrels you could train up for shift work? Sadly, no and kangaroo power requires a completely different mechanism. PS: That was my grandson in the photo.

$1b battery and solar farm for South Australia's RiverlandSimple logic doesn't seem to be their strong point. As one of the previous articles points out you can either use the power or put it (at a loss) into batteries. The batteries will run down as they are used in the night and will require recharge in the day but that is also when the peak power requirement is. Solar cells will not run at peak efficiency unless the Sun is well above the horizon giving if you are lucky 6 hours of full power. A Cloudy day or three and all is back to nowt. So you still have to have some kind of baseload generation that can provide power and that costs less and takes a lot less land and uses less resources than the solar cells and batteries - which do not produce enough power to be used to create more solar cells and batteries. It does mean there is a ready market in SA for Sea Front homes in Alice Springs

[ Snip ] It does mean there is a ready market in SA for Sea Front homes in Alice Springs Alice Springs' height above sea level is only 583m, hardly enough to be sure of your investment and most South Australians wouldn't know where The Alice is or how to get there. PS: I could be wrong ....about the HASL.
