"Stop The Climate Stupidity by David Archibald 29 January 2019 When I got involved in global warming over a decade ago, the promoters of that cult wanted Australia to reduce its coal consumption by 20%. It was easy enough to predict that doing that would damage our economy and reduce our standard of living. Here we are today. The damage has been done, and is getting worse. State governments have gleefully blown up coal-fired power stations in fits of religious ecstasy. As a consequence we have just had the summer blackouts that were also so easily predicted. One sign of an advanced civilization is a stable, cheap, and reliable electrical power. We used to have one of those. We now rely upon diesel generators in part, like most third world countries."wentworthreport.com/stop-the-climate-stupidity/It would appear that Australia is where the US Democrat 'New Green Deal' wants to go - and where the UK's Climate Change Act is taking the UK. Luckily the Democrat plan was published by their latest ditz so everyone felt OK to laugh at it. The UK plans are every bit as unreal but were voted through in 2008 with only one dissenting vote!

This is one of the best short summaries of the data and science refuting the CO2 agenda I have come across. Perfect? No. Supportable and buildable? Yes. As an integrated thesis, this or something similar should be required college (high school?) reading, presented alongside the most concise arguments for the "other" side(s) available. Give the snowflakes a choice. I, for one, do not believe they are (on average) totally stupid. Let them add, modify, debate, obfuscate or elucidate as the spirit moves them. It is, after all, their future. And if history teaches us anything, it is that social ideologies do matter. And may God have mercy on our ideologically bigoted little souls. (PS. When Hans Solo defects to the Dark Side, something really needs to be done. )

They blew up all the coal-fired plants to provide a reason to spend $650 million on solar-thermal.

The brains which are the backbone of the progressive movement have some real horsepower. But they are cynical and they know that the facts are not on their side. You will always be left wondering... why are they doing it? The latter end up either in management or the unions. Then they revert to type and tell the other managers how to manage and the other union workers how to be a good unionist. The percentage that get to the higher reaches are now ingrained in the habit of telling people what to do and protecting their ill gotten gains. The one thing that irritates them is being themselves told what to do. That is what we are seeing with the Trump vs Bloomberg and Trump vs Streyer spats; they lose it when their cheese is being moved about by someone else telling them what to do. So both Bloomberg and Streyer want rid of Trump.

Perhaps Baroness Brown and all her ilk could be sent off to muck about with greenies in Kabul. We could send Baronless Al to help her out.

Hopefully she won’t consult with Little Andrew Cuomo.
