Davos no-shows reflect the world in a state of crisiswww.cnn.com/2019/01/19/business/davos-world-economic-forum/index.html What happens in the mountains
Each edition of Davos has a theme. This year, organizers have chosen: "Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution." Hundreds of panel discussions and sessions provide the framework for the conference. Attendees can chose between sessions such as "Managing a Global Garbage Crisis," "Making Digital Globalization Inclusive" and "Globalization: Retreat or Reinvention?" This year, there is a heavy emphasis on the dangers of climate change. The challenges posed by technological changes and rising populism are also prominent themes. This is high-altitude networking, and it's not cheap. It cost companies over $60,000 to buy a basic membership of the World Economic Forum in 2017, and premier corporate partnerships top out at 10 times that.

Why are the current democrats so against the wall when they were for it before? What could have changed their minds? Cui bono... "Former Democrat: The Truth is Democrats Won’t Build Wall Because They’re Under Influence of Mexican Mafia
A former Democrat and current Trump supporter unloaded on Democrats. Jeffrey Peterson says the reason the Democrats will never support the border wall – the reason is that they are being paid off by the Mexican cartels. Jeffrey Peterson states in his profile on Twitter that he is a former Democrat who ‘walked away’. He now is a Trump supporter! He claims that the Democrats will never give in on a wall due to the Democrats being funded by the Mexican mafia. He says he has connections with Arizona politics and says Mexico is the main reason the wall is not supported by the Democrat Party!"Click on this 'tweet' below for a full thread www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/01/former-democrat-the-truth-is-democrats-wont-build-wall-because-theyre-under-influence-of-mexican-mafia/ Of course with 'donors' like that there are 'requirements' to be fulfilled - it would be a shame about your relatives having that severe accident

So the UK Daily Telegraph - a once trusted conservative broadsheet is now operating like Buzzfeed.

This seems like it requires a much stronger description than “false reporting”. Lying scoundrels filled with malice without a trace of honesty or honor destined to the dustbin of meaningless pissants that have haunted humanity since time began.

Maybe that should be on our granite monument, somewhere right below Shelley. It is hard these days to keep yourself informed, you have to parse through the 85% bullshit, misleading "news", and hope to be 51% sure you know what might actually be happening. Then you realize that the whole process seemed like an unhealthy waste of valuable hours.

I’d rather my name was painted on the “Wolverines” Rock at the end of Red Dawn. All media is social media now. Every media personality is consumed with how many “likes” or “re-tweets” they get on whatever comment or picture they post. I guarantee their employers are judging them by the same standards too. The mob is in control and they are functioning with one brain that is being divided into ever smaller portions as the mob grows.

It is hard to believe that the final refined product, the purest distillation, of trillions of dollars spent over a half a century of computer development, is Facebook and Twitter. This was ultimately the "highest and best use"?

No disrespect or ill wishes to the good justice. But expext to see her proped up and tied in the saddle as long as possible. Like the dead El Cid leading the charge against the Mahdi at Valencia.

Live by the click. Die by the click. Bottom line ... did they fire the reporter(s)? Blu. You need to repost that Johnathan Swift quote here. I found the Jonathan Swift quote while searching for the source of “A lie travels around the world while truth is putting on her shoes” and all it’s variations. Often attributed to Mark Twain and/or Winston Churchill and assorted others. I like the Swift quote and it’s attribution to him is apparently solid. “Besides, as the vilest Writer has his Readers, so the greatest Liar has his Believers; and it often happens, that if a Lie be believ’d only for an Hour, it has done its Wor, and there is no farther occasion for it. Falsehood flies, and the Truth comes limping after it; so that when Men come to be undeceiv’d, it is too late; the Jest is over, and the Tale has had its Effect”… -Jonathan Swift

Google statement on Snopes- "Snopes, formerly known as the Urban Legends Reference Pages, is one of the first online fact-checking websites. It has been termed a "well-regarded source for sorting out myths and rumors" on the internet. Wikipedia" Google statement on WUWT- "Watts Up With That? is a blog promoting climate change denial that was created by Anthony Watts in 2006. The blog predominantly discusses climate issues with a focus on anthropogenic climate change, generally accommodating beliefs that are in opposition to the scientific consensus on climate change." Anthony is not a climate change denier, as far as I understand... he is aware that the climate changes. Google is not fair, very far from it.

Google seems intent on being part of the Globalization Elite complete with their hymn book of great truths that are not to be challenged The rest is just plain greed. They should read more Twain. “What gets us into trouble is not what we don't know. It's what we know for sure that just ain't so.”
