Sorry Ratty - failed at the first sentence: "fact checking by Jake Tapper" is an oxymoron (fact checking is oxy, Tapper is the moron) Tapper has a vested interest in rubbishing Barr and talking up Mueller. I thought as much .... actually, I came to that page from a FarceBook post which lectured me on getting things right when posting on FB.

Put your drinks down ..... "Hemingway: Obama Is Delusional About What His Own Legacy Is
January 6, 2017 By The Federalist Staff
Federalist Senior Editor Mollie Hemingway joined Fox News’s “Special Report with Bret Baier” Thursday night to discuss outgoing President Barack Obama’s legacy.
“Obama is absolutely delusional about what his own legacy is,” Hemingway said. “His legacy can be summed up in three words, which is ‘President Donald Trump.’”thefederalist.com/2017/01/06/hemingway-obama-is-delusional-about-what-his-own-legacy-is/

thefederalist.com/2019/05/31/barr-unloads-collusion-conspiracy-theory-whole-idea-trump-cahoots-russians-bogus/“I think one of the ironies today is that people are saying that it’s President Trump that’s shredding our institutions. I really see no evidence of that,” he said. “The idea of resisting a democratically elected president and basically throwing everything at him and you know, really changing the norms on the grounds that ‘We have to stop this president,’ that is where the shredding of our norms and our institutions is occurring.” -William Barr The Left likes to talk on and on about how Republicans want to prevent various groups from voting or not counting the votes cast. Just another load of projection from their BS factory. They are doing everything in their power to take the entirety of votes for Donald Trump and throw them into a dumpster. -blustnmtn

"Can Trump Survive?"
As they say "It's the Economy Stupid". History shows us that people vote with their wallets. If the economy and markets stay on a roll I think President Trump will be re-elected. People do not like to rock the boat and mess with a good economic run.
That being said I am not sure the Presidents weaponizing of trade via tariffs is such a good idea. There is a very, very fine line between "walking softly and carrying a big stick" and being arrogant and foolish. Economics is more akin to psychology than it is to mathematics. The markets, which fuel economies worldwide can be poisoned by emotion and fear.
People start to freak out when they see their 401Ks drop by 10% or more in a short period of time. In my honest opinion the only thing that can stop Trump in 2020 is a sharp and pronounced economic downturn.

Don't worry I am sure that some of the 'shadowy' billionaires in the Soros club will be attempting to engineer that (while carefully shorting so they make money from it of course)

"Looking for some great weekend reading? Look no further than the transcript of the CBS News interview with Attorney General William Barr.
Calling it a bombshell doesn’t do it justice. The interview is chock-full of one explosive comment after another about special counsel Robert Mueller, the media and Barr’s own investigation of the investigators.
Here are some nuclear-grade examples of what the AG has to say:
“So it was bogus, this whole idea that Trump was in cahoots with the Russians is bogus.” “It’s hard to read some of the [FBI] texts and not feel that there was gross bias at work, and they’re appalling.” “The use of foreign-intelligence capabilities and counterintelligence capabilities against an American political campaign to me is unprecedented and it’s a serious red line that’s been crossed.” “The media reaction is strange. Normally the media would be interested in letting the sunshine in and finding out what the truth is.” “One of the ironies today is that people are saying that it’s President Trump that’s shredding our institutions. I really see no evidence of that . . . From my perspective the idea of resisting a democratically elected president and basically throwing everything at him and you know, really changing the norms on the grounds that we have to stop this president, that is where the shredding of our norms and our institutions is occurring.”"More at: www.foxnews.com/opinion/michael-goodwin-barr-determined-to-unravel-truth-behind-russia-lie

Ratty, what do you think? Is this genuine or a bunch of bluster on Trumps' behalf. That's interesting.

It was showing up, I really did think it was interesting. If it happens, I guess Trump will have more or less won on Mexico. I was beginning to have my doubts
