Its ok Birder...people with actual taste don't drink gassy beer....

My mate has a good point, any thing that tastes good cold, but not at room temp, essentially doesn't taste nice...

I have to agree as my vices are ale, red wine and whiskey.

If anyone mentions malt with ice we've got a real row on our hands, that's just wrong in so many ways!!

I could not agree more. Real beers are living liquids any effervescence is due to the yeast still working, not due to an overgrown soda stream The yeast is still working because the beer has not been chilled.
