This is as scientific as depending on the growth rings of a single tree in the Yamal peninsula LOL the tree ring proxies have problems as well and I'm not talking about the cherry picking that was done. There was a recent study that showed tree rings respond to cosmic rays more than they do temp or precip. Look at the attached picture - four labelled palm trees (some of us are lucky to live in warm conditions). Which of these palm trees is the oldest? Which has really good looking tree rings? As it happens the oldest by 3 years is tree [2] the next one year older than [2] is tree [4] Trees [1] and [3] were both planted as very small plants about 2 feet high only 3 years ago. [3] is the largest treee - [1] the smallest. What do you want to prove with the tree rings? Well as Biffra showed all you need to do is find the right tree(s). Attachments:
