Very simple thinking. I have always considered "rich" to be a relative term and not an absolute statement of the degree of prosperity. The history of economic development, I would say, indicates that increasing prosperity and an improving physical environment go hand in hand. The average middle class American possesses a much superior lifestyle in every respect to that of the average monarch who lived prior to 19th C.
Indeed, promoting a loss of prosperity in any way for any reason is thin statement of defeat.

"Share the wealth", I believe was the phrase used by a certain politician recently.

Ok.....OK.......I will admit it......I have no wealth to share.
And in fact, I don't want any of yours either. Quit content to live in my grass shack with the dirt floors. Gotta love this new fangled electricity thing tho. And can you believe it?
Some guy named AlGore, (no..not that algore).....invented the internet. Gosh.....what will those scientists think of next?
I heard on the street as I was parking my horse that someone said it was going to warm up soon. WAHL.....dog gone it! I am all for that warming, ya see, as my wheat, potatoes, beans, etc are a bit slow this year because the furnace seems stuck on idle or some such thing they say. Dah feller next door said it needed a hard measel case. Didn't know viruses got to the furnace, but ya know? With this new fangled teck nowadays....why anything is possible!
