Actually, you're not "sure" about that -- you are mistaken. We have been through this before. A career meteorologist, Anthony went to the primary temperature recording station for his own town out of simple curiosity. (He had been trained in station maintenance while in meteorology schoool.) When that ONE station was rife with issues, he went to look at another station. The second station was OK. He went to see a third station, and it was worse than the first. If Anthony's intention was to audit the meteorological stations across the US - fine.
Again, this is an ad-hominem attack. If you dispute any single finding of Anthony Watts', please bring it to his and the rest of our attention.
I will only dispute unjustified claims based on the findings.

You seem like a nice guy and quit knowledgeable. The only flaw that I see in some of your posts is that you are unwilling to acknowledge new studies and data.
NOW, as far as the UHI, it even happens in my little area. Where I live, we have a very large network of private......note the private, weather stations. The reasons we had to go private is that the control and daily temps of the NWS from the cities in my area were so far off, that to ag they had become useless. There is insurance in ag, and most of us farmers buy that insurance. When perishable crops freeze, and yes I said freeze, and the official temp hit 34F......when you file a claim you have lots of problems. Our local co-op now has a large network of weather stations that show the real temps. Has taken care of that NWS problem. The pity is, I can't have my tax dollars that fund the NWS taken away from them because of lack of realiability. When we had to do that is when I reallllllly started examining the evidence for AGW and started seeing the political bias in the scientific studies. That realllly irked me as my tax dollars were paying for most of those studies as well.
But beside that issue, the more I learned the more I realized I, nor most of the "mainstream scientists" didn't know squat about climate with any kind of certainty. And I also realized that anyone making predictions based on the little we know were blowing smoke from where the sun doesn't shine.
