Back in 1957 the experts were in popular mechanics saying: books.google.co.nz/books?id=DeEDAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA109&dq=arctic+ice+popular+mechanics+1957&lr=&as_brr=1#v=onepage&q=&f=falseDr Petterson: The warm period you are referring to was not as exstreme as the one we are experiencing now. For example there is considerable melting and breaking up of the north pole ice which was not experienced before. This indicates we are undoubtedly in the warmest period of the last 1000 years.
Question: If we are in an exstremely warm period now, why is it that we can get bitterly cold weather at times?
Landsberg: In the history of weather, during warm periods there have been record snow falls and low temperatures

Dr. Velikovsky believed that warm periods presaged cold periods -the higher the atmospheric heat content, the greater the likelihood of an imminent glaciation.

Its another BBC report news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8299426.stmHave the Scientists got it wrong again? To me this report doesn't seem right. All the raw data I've come across and all the reports I have read, do not support what they are saying in this report. Even the IPCC doesn't predict a 25-40m rise in sea levels. Can anyone here pick this report apart?
