With AGW alarmism pushing the world towards a world government and a form of socialism in dealing with worldwide problems. . . .the proponents of that remain firmly entrenched in the capitalistic system.
Its kind of like share yours and leave mine alone.
With the private hoarding of data sets, and processing methods; and privately-owned publications controlling content, peer review; the availability of scientific information to justify the restriction of freedoms for the better good of all is apparently the bottleneck in the system.
With the very loudest alarmists actually demonstrably controlling this information and holding it back as a capital base to attract future funding. . . .it seems we have reached the usual precipice upon which every socialistic system always fails. . . .individuall greed.
Its OK to slay somebody else's sacred cow but don't lay a finger on mine!!
This seems to be yet another hypocrisy in all this where token appeasement is given but no true commitment.
The public notices this kind of hypocrisy.
It seems rather clear that if the government is going to fund science there needs to be some enforceable standards for quality of workmanship and public disclosure so as the public can reap the benefits of what they sow. Its pretty clear that some folks tapping into the till are delivering unacceptable product and no system is in place to detect it and worse no system is in place to punish it.
