Who can explain to me in simple laypersons terms why the East coast seems to have way more openings on 6 than we west coast.
Last week I was on K3UK's board and several East coasters were talking about openings on several days.
I went to the DX maps and sure enough they were. However we on the west side were dead every day they had great openings?
Happens during the summer season a lot too.
Help me out here.

I notice astro mut goes back and edits all his forecasts to change them ever so slightly to fit current events. If you notice all his messages have been edited concerning the storm on the 26th of October.

Problem is, Greens wont allow any NR at all, low or otherwise.

Not being a normal 6 meter user, when might I expect the next round of good 6m openings.

Outstanding conditions last night on 6 meters. I was on JT65A on 50.276 and it sounded like 20meters. Worked 10 new states all on LOTW. Had almost 30 different contacts. Was a banner night.

VHF Contest was a bust. Unless working Colorado and Calif is a success . PNW has definitely been left out of this E season thus far. Not much in contacts at all. I see the east coast is having a blast working EU.

Your not supposed to look at World temps. Only the record heat in the USA right now. They will move the focus to other record heat if that happens.
BTW not all the USA is hot. We here in what we call the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, BC) are COLD. We are 5 - 8 degrees below normal and only had a could warm days so far.

finally got a ok opening yesterday (and I couldnt stick around to enjoy much as the wife had other plans).
Worked TN, MS, OK, TX, CO, WY and ND.
Pretty nice signals too, most were S9 or so. OK and MS 55 reports.
Hopefully some more will hit and I can collect them states. I see the east coast has been enjoying a lot more than us in the Pacific Northwest.

So far E Season has been behaving much similar to the lower band propagation. A peek here and there of good things then Silence.
