I would also like to remind people the cost of oil today has much to do with the fall of the dollar. People that don't understand or believe that is the case should learn why they are wrong. There's a reason why China, Japan, Russia and others are going to dump the dollar and trade directly. Once it happens with oil, $150/bbl will be cheap. If that trend continues, the party is over for the U.S. economy regardless of who is president or Fed chairman. Why? Because as we devalue our currency by printing dollars with no abandon, doing that devalues other currencies around the world and those countries are tired of supporting our unlimited credit limit. He is right about that. Right now, Bernanke/Obama are essentially inflating the world with dollars. The time is coming when the rest of the world will not play our game. The Fed has been printing dollars for years, it WILL catch up with us. My guess (not prediction) is that it will happen within 24 months. Probably next winter if Obama wins. The wildcard is what happens to the EU, I just can't figure out what happens when the EU augers in... The US will be the safe haven, and that could actually help us out... Or not, I really don't know what will happen, but the next five years are going to be... interesting. Chinese proverb interesting... because the oil was going to be traded in euros ..from places like iran and russia the powers that be (money men) have decided to kill the euro .. hence why so many euro countrys are starting to buckle.. follow the money trail ..make the euro worth less than the dollar so no one would want to trade with it .. glad the uk still has the pound ..within 2yrs uk will leave europe and prosper for a while .. then well we will see it all happen again ..

as far as i'm concerned global warming is just an american thing ...it's the 9th of june here in blackpool and it's 10 deg c which an't all that good .. so some places it's hot but some are well below what it should be ..wind and rain well above normal. explain this with your graphs numbers and what ever else ya want to use .... it's going to be a cold winter this yr and it will prob start in sept ...

we will know the truth in a few yrs.. why are goverments and banking trying to ruin the economy why are they buying up all the gold .. and why now ..?? simple in a few yrs when we are all looking for the next piece of food and everything cools they have there way of culling the population .. we will have nothing to trade worth anything .. we will be stuck and just those with power will be ok ... really starting to think about moving ...australlia looks good you can hide in that place and live off the land and sea ..

well here up north uk it's really has been a bad summer ... we've had a few weeks summer if you put all of the sunshine together . i turn to the sea to check the real time of yr.. i like to fish we have had no mackrel ,the bass have been scarce .. and the whiting and cod have started to turn up ...all this should not happen till next month .. so i'm saying snow by oct or at least very cold temps ...

yes global warming is one of many parts of a 1 world goverment .. but so is depopulation , and thats where gw is leading us .. so take this ... you know a cold spell is coming so you raise prices of oil gas and food .. you then with harrp bring more rain and storms to your food growing areas ..thus increasing food prices again .. when your poor start to get hungry they will steal .. so you bring in your army (that has just been trained in this )and you then have a 2 tier state...as it gets colder more people revolt and die .. over the next 10 yrs you will see a decline of 20-30% of the usa population .. at the same time canada usa and mexico will become 1 union.. the dollars will be gone so will the debt .. but this will force china into a recline so they to can depopulate .. but then again we could all die in a massive flare, crust slip, massive volcano's,pole shift or 2032 a meteor hitting us ...

i see what you are trying to say ..the suns magnetic field trys to crush the earths(or reinforce) and while the sun is at a low level it will let the earth expand ..
yes it would the core being made of mostly iron but on a lot of the crust it simply has no or little effect. it has a reading of 0.3-0.6 gauss at sea level and a 25 gauss at the outer core ?
i am still going to go with heat from the sun and yes it's still getting colder(southern hemisphere temps very low ) so the effects are yet to be determined
an open mind catches more than flys ...

There is a statistical and inverse correlation between the strength of the solar magnetic field and the amount of volcanic activity. Since the solar magnetic field is in decline, it is likely that vulcanism has increased, and will further increase. The mechanism? Magnetic coupling. And while there is a great deal of speculation, there are no measurements to suggest an exact solution. Stranger but would that not just have the opposite effect ?less of a magnetic pull or push so less force on the plates to move them ? unless your saying there was a wrap around effect to stabilize the planet ?? answers give you questions ,discussions give you answers

how much of a decrease will we need to see over an area ?? the earth is very big so any decrease would cause shrinkage .. now the air temp may only show a 0.1-0.2 dip but what about the land temps and further down ..with less heat from the sun you get less penetration of heat into the ground ..

with the sun in a low mode could this cooling also be responsible for a upturn in volcanic activity ?
like a balloon thats going cold the outer crust would shrink putting more pressure on the inside causing the magma to rise thru its vents ?
