The solar flux and SSN monthly charts are still not updated by our gov. Come on, it's the 8th!

It states somewhere on the swpc site that updating happens onlyon tuesdays. And that it takes about 3 days after the end of the month to collect all the relevant data. So it could take about 10 days in worst case. Definately goverment speed

I don't know about anyone else, but I was kinda hoping that, when they updated the chart, they'd make the projection non-preposterous. There is almost no way that the current mean trend line is going to follow the projected curve. Now, I'm a layman and maybe I'm wrong, but it just seems silly to me that they continue insisting on such a rapid increase.

jcfolsom- I am just a layman and agreed with you until this current spike in activity. The counter to our argument is that the sun is a messy place and if one looks to cycles similar to this in the past, they tend to have more variability than the average cycle (e.g. they have "peaks" in activity). Many are betting this cycle will look like cycle 14: www.solen.info/solar/cycl14.html
