Hi everyone, I was thinking that it would be nice if the first spotless day in a long while coincided with Kevin reaching his fundraising target. Just a thought.

And we have zero SSN for the first time in months !
What`s the latest after minimum that there are days with no spots ? (or is this common)

This is pretty uncommon so near solar max and the pole shift. Right Leif?
Cant believe I went on vacation to nowhere - no internet, no TV and come back to a zero SSN. I wonder when the next L&P report comes out.

Uncommon yes, but on billion year times scales it happens All The Time.

I guess it the term " common" depends on the timescale reference you are using - ours or the suns - as jcarels is correct, temporally this is a drop in the bucket to the sun, but a long time for humans as cycle 15 peaked around 1916-1918.

Medium - good seeing today from athens. Observation with CORONADO PST D.S SM 40mm in Ha line. Great limb today guys. Too much prominences around the sun. Two regions coming from northeast. The old 11257 has sunspot. The large filament near to the west limb. www.solar-007.eu/site/

Am I wrong? It seems that the last few months the Spots are like the arc of a Slinky going down some stairs.
The spots ramp up and then decline, ramp up again, but decline even more so. This time briefly, we had a spotless Sun.
