Valentine's Day G1 Storm

anybody know much about coronal holes?

By process of elimination, it seems like the earth-facing coronal holes right now should be one of the suspects for last night's storm, but I don't know much about coronal holes besides their potential to create solar wind.

The last CME to leave the sun was on the 10th. 3-4 days seems like a long time for a geoeffective CME to get here.

Any thoughts?

I suppose if coronal hole/s were responsible, we would see more storming over the next few days?
