Its that time of year again. Es season is upon us.
Yesterday there was some Es here, only reached 28mhz however.
50mhz was very open towards the south and west. Double hop propagation from western usa into the Carib. Also VP8 Falkland was working into the USA via an Es link. N8JX in Michigan was able to work VP8NO.
Let the fun begin.

I see the West coast is left out again for the most part. There was a small opening on Thursday or Friday. But I was at work.
I have the links you gave me book marked its time to start watching them more.
Also I will leave my system on 50.276 (unofficial) on JT65A to see if I get any hits too.

Heard Georgia and Montana for a few minutes during the morning hours but the station on 125 was wanting to Chat away and blew any chance for the rest of us. Then the VE7s were working SW but Seattle wasn't being heard.
I did however work Montana on FSK441 later.
Work is going to interfere with E season again.

Nothing yesterday worth reporting and even though south and east of me seem to be doing ok, once again Seattle doesn't want to play in E Season.

So far E Season has been behaving much similar to the lower band propagation. A peek here and there of good things then Silence.

finally got a ok opening yesterday (and I couldnt stick around to enjoy much as the wife had other plans).
Worked TN, MS, OK, TX, CO, WY and ND.
Pretty nice signals too, most were S9 or so. OK and MS 55 reports.
Hopefully some more will hit and I can collect them states. I see the east coast has been enjoying a lot more than us in the Pacific Northwest.

Pretty quiet start to Es season with the exception of a few days.
The other night after 530pm worked CT, CU, EA8, VO1, VE1, VE3, VE4, VE5 and a bunch of US states within 4/5/8/9/0 area.
Yesterday morning worked EA8, CU, ZF and HR9.
Today was dead.

VHF Contest was a bust. Unless working Colorado and Calif is a success . PNW has definitely been left out of this E season thus far. Not much in contacts at all. I see the east coast is having a blast working EU.

Outstanding conditions last night on 6 meters. I was on JT65A on 50.276 and it sounded like 20meters. Worked 10 new states all on LOTW. Had almost 30 different contacts. Was a banner night.

Hey Kevin VE3EN, I have been watching this board for years (even pitched in when years ago it was about to expire), but my membership is pending now for... months! I think I ended up with multiple usernames since I wasn't sure what the problem was. I have used neutrino, isotope, finito and (maybe) neutrino007. Can someone let me in... please? I cannot make comments or download material posted on the blog, except on this section. I am interested mostly on the solar activity and weather sections. Thanks folks! Have a wonderful week!
