I dont really understand why Kevin is so determined to distance this message board from his main page and it seems to me that this board is dying and people like Lief Svaalgard will no longer bother to come here to check what is happening.

About the drop-down box, your scripting status has changed. The solarham and/or proboards script must be enabled.
As to distancing, the off-topic forums are quite active, too active, and their crackpots/crackpottery spill to here.

The message board option is clearly visible to me today without making any changes

Well, Kevin wants to make this his full time job, or at least part of it so how hard can monitoring this board a few times a day be? I am done with giving money to solarham for this reason.

Hello, I thought this forum became extinct ages ago, as I couldn't find the link to it on the home page. Any idea why this is? Who's running it now? Is it anything to do with www.solarham.net? I is still moderated? What's going on with it? Sorry, I'm curious about this mystery.

I is still moderated? What's going on with it? Sorry, I'm curious about this mystery. The link to this forum is now hidden in the drop down box on the solar main page Kevin appears to be refusing to have any responsibility for this board. I wrote to him two months ago so I could get some abuse issues resolved by Proboards with his help, since Proboards requires him to give his permission and some work from him for deleted posts to be restored, and I got no reply even though I had offered to pay him for his time.

Andrew: Bookmark this page (or the forum itself). Or, drag the icon in the address field (e.g., solarcycle24.proboards.com ...) to the row just below the address line and just above the tabs row.

Ho ho ho. That dosent help that new users wont find this forum easily. Even alot of old users thought it vanished because it is so hidden away now. And judging by last posts made on the spaceweather part suggest it is nearly dead now. Really sad since this was one of those forums i used to visit daily, but now everything I check it seems dead.

Just thought I would make a quick post to bring this back to the top... Has anyone heard from Kevin at all on why he removed the link? I did not see a post from him on this...

A couple of times efforts were made to communicate with 'Kevin' The first allowed open access to new users (like myself ) The second once the allocated memory got used up meaning any images have to be url linked or something....this never got resolved. Still, theres a low intensity vibe here, some very knowledgable helpful people and some of the stuff posted i havnt seen anywhere else. I hope this forum last for years. The only downside is most of the posters seem to be in their '80s or so, so ya know...
