www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/04/170425102529.htmA chemistry professor has just found a way to trigger the process of photosynthesis in a synthetic material, turning greenhouse gases into clean air and producing energy all at the same time. The process has great potential for creating a technology that could significantly reduce greenhouse gases linked to climate change, while also creating a clean way to produce energy.

Some folks just really don't like other folks and think they should be the ONLY folks around because they are superior to us unwashed masses.

Speaking of North Korea ...... careful what you blast for: Sacred Volcano in North Korea May Be Waiting to Blow"Unlike most volcanoes on Earth, Mount Paektu isn’t located where tectonic plates collide. It’s parked in the middle of a plate, at least 620 miles (1,000 kilometers) away from the massive subduction zone that created the Japanese islands. Simply put, Mount Paektu shouldn’t really be there."

Or in other words infrared energy that doesn't penetrate further than the surface molecular layer doesn't warm the oceans while shorter wavelengths that penetrate tens of meters do warm the oceans... Imagine my shock... Post doctoral researchers discover basic high school physics and manage to get it published as ground-breaking research

Just curious. I'm involved in a long-term Y-DNA project. One of my 'close' (relative term) genetic matches is an Aussie from Victoria, who can trace his lineage back to the 1200-1400 period in Lancashire and there are several others with historical links to the four counties in the same area (Lancashire to Staffordshire). This is an amazingly small area in comparison to our wide open spaces ... equivalent to about a 40-50 mile radius area focused on Columbia, Missouri. Seems like a lot of Virgina-North Carolina immigration came out of this general area, including my mother's mother male line. Fascinating stuff. I may yet make that connection across the pond.
